What is Small Business Saturday®? Well, Small Business Saturday® is a program, created by American Express®, that helps show the love to small businesses like ours. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, small businesses across the United States invite members of their community to shop small and show support their local businesses.
Local businesses have a lot to offer. From your favorite coffee shop, to the trendiest boutique, to the corner convenience store, all of your local businesses play a role in supporting the shopping needs of your community.
So, on Saturday, November 26, 2022, head to your downtown and support small business.

Shop Small Weekend in Davis CA
Shop Small Saturday® is a huge hit in Davis. That is why the event has expanded to fill the entire weekend.
That’s right! Shop Small Saturday® has grown into DDBA’s Shop Small Weekend. That means that you have three full days to visit and explore the downtown while you patronize your favorite Davis Downtown businesses.
Mark your calendars for November 25 through November 27, 2022. During these three days, there is a lot going on.
Support our local businesses and support our local economy.
Shop Small Weekend Raffle
The Davis Downtown Business Association is coordinating their 3rd Annual Shop Small Raffle. Participating in the raffle is easy. When you shop at one of the many participating downtown businesses, you will receive one raffle ticked for every $10 you spend.
There are three prizes available through the raffle:
- Grand Prize valued at $500
- 2nd Place valued at $250
- 3rd Place valued at $100
Winners will be announce Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
Now, there are some restrictions to the contest/raffle. Here is what is known so far. But be sure to visit the DDBA website for full details and restrictions.
- Shoppers will receive one (1) raffle ticket for every $10 (ten dollars) spent at a participating business.
- Shoppers are limited to ten (10) tickets per business.
- The raffle will start Friday, November 25, 2022 and run through the end of the day, Sunday, November 27, 2022.
This just in…Davis Downtown will be providing approximately 100 swag bags to be handed out to downtown shoppers. Keep an eye out and score some cool downtown swag.
