The Davis Aquamonsters (davisaquamonsters.org) is Davis, CA-based swim team offering children ages 5 to 18 years and opportunity to swim and compete with swimmers from around the Sacramento area. The Aquamonsters swim program revolves around the idea that swimmers should have fun and participate as a valued team member at any level of commitment. Whether it is swimming in local competitions, or advancing to state or regional championships, the Davis Aquamonsters helps develop your swimmer meet their athletic swimming goals.
The Davis Aquamonster program offers both a summer recreation swimming program as part of the Sacramento Swim League for swimmers looking for fun and fitness during the summer months and a USA Swimming program for swimmers focused on personal/team achievement in a competitive environment. The Davis Aquamonsters are part of the Sierra Nevada LSC which focuses on the education, instruction, and training of individuals to develop and improve their capabilities in the sport of swimming.
Website Features
The Davis Aquamonster website provides a resource for swimmers who participate during the summer as well as those who participate year-round. Information about swim suits and swim gear, information for new swimmers and new swim parents, competitive time information, coaches, practices, swim meets, and registration information.
The color scheme is red, black, and white and is based upon the team logo, the Davis Aquamonster. The bold primary colors are certainly eye-catching and are used to draw the eyes to key information. Other colors are used for mouse-over effects and letting visitors know that buttons perform an action.
The website includes a blog that is displayed on the AQM News page. There are also featured posts displayed on the home page so visitors, swim-parents, and swimmers can quickly access important team information and announcements.
The Davis Aquamonsters have a number of videos on the website that showcase the team and the many exciting moments of team practice and competition. Videos are available on the homepage and on the Monster Videos page.
