First impressions matter. Period.  That first interaction is critical.  your behavior, how you look, what you say, social status, socio-economic status, height, weight, gender, race, religion, the list goes on and on.  In the first few moments of an interaction, all these components are analyzed and used to determine if further investigation is warranted.  A life-long relationship can be started or you can be dropped like a hot potato.

First impressions are even more critical in the online world.  With so much information, so many alternatives, and so many relationships available through Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, and Forums, relationship decisions can be made in a click of the mouse.  Opportunities are lost forever.
